BlizzardVisionPPC is the only graphics card that was specially made for the A1200. Released shortly after the BlizzardPPC turbo board was offered for sale by Phase 5 it gave A1200 owners the chance of boosting their non big-box Amiga to the same performance level (almost) as an similarly expanded A3000 or A4000.
There was one catch though, or two. You needed to have a BlizzardPPC card since the connection for the graphics card was put on the PPC board, and you needed a tower.
Actually you can mount a BPPC and BVPPC combo inside a desktop A1200, but do not do it, it is not worth it and the amount of modding you will need to do in order to provide enough cooling is not for amateurs or weekend warrior hardware hackers with a 40 watt soldering iron. And no it is not only the PPC card that runs hot, you are going to burn a finger off if you touch the Permedia chip of the BVPPC card after running it in a A1200 without cooling (I still miss two of my fingers). Lets not forget about the PSU either, 25 watt is not going to cut it. 50 wont cut it either. A PPC boosted Amiga can easily hit 60+ watts, be prepared, and be afraid. PPC is for serious Amiga users only.
After all the caveats this is still a neat hardware, especially connected to the BlizzardPPC card with its two massive 72 pin SIMM slots supporting up to 256 MB memory and large big and bad 040/060 68k CPU besides an badass and cool looking black heatsink covering the PPC chip.
