pegasos2-motherboard

I got hold of a Pegasos 2 motherboard today. The Pegasos motherboard originally ran MorphOS (and some Un*x OS), for Amiga enthusiasts, MorphOS was off course the reason to get one.

MorphOS can run some Amiga applications that are system friendly, so it is going to be interesting to see just what can be run on this nice little motherboard. I have already downloaded latest MorphOS test CD and so far it seems really nice and smooth on this particular hardware configuration. Having never touched MorphOS before though, it is a bit different than Workbench 3.9.

This is the Pegasos2 with a 1 GHz CPU module and a 512 MB memory stick (that the seller gave to me for free, thank you!). It also has a ATI Radeon card but for testing I pulled out my old Voodoo 4 PCI card that worked nicely in MorphOS at 1920×1200.

Some other detailes about the motherboard by Bplan, it has two built in network cards, one is gigabit capable, firewire and USB is available too. Overall I really like the design of the Pegasos2, it is a very clean motherboard.

There is only one little problem. Now that I have a 100% pure PPC solution my CyberStormPPC cards feels so unnecessary now, I don’t know if I should sell them yet. I need to get AmigaOS4.1 for the Pegasos2 before I decide what to do with my CyberStormPPC 060/233MHz card, my BlizzardPPC and my other CyberStormPPC.
