This Easter was the perfect opportunity for me to go into my closet and find out exactly what kind of old vintage PC hardware I had been stockpiling during fall/winter 2007.

So after some digging I found this:

386 motherboard, I think it was clocked at 16 MHz.

Here is a 486 motherboard with a DX2 66MHz CPU. All you need really (maybe not).

Input output cards are so boring but here is no 1

IO card no 2

IO card no 3, Vesa Local Bus card, notice the extra tab behind the ISA tabs.

IO card no 4

hardware8.jpg

IO card no 5, this one was ripped out of the 486 so cables are still attached.

NIC no 1

Nic no 2. By 3Com, I was given the advice to run these cards if your going to run Linux many years ago. I have one of these in one of my 486 and it works great with Windows 3.11.

hardware9.jpg

NIC no 3. I suspect this one is one of those noname NICs from >1997

hardware12.jpg

Sound Blaster no 1: Sound Blaster 16.

hardware13.jpg

Sound Blaster no 2: Sound Blaster AWE 32. Notice the lenght of the card. I think there is a variant of this card with a SCSI interface to (no kidding) or maybe that was the Sound Blaster 16?

hardware14.jpg

Sound Blaster no 3: I think this is an 8-bit Sound Blaster card. Notice the dial for adjusting volume or something along the L-bracket.

hardware15.jpg

Sound Blaster no 4: Half lenght Sound Blaster card.

hardware16.jpg

VGA card no 1:

hardware17.jpg

VGA card no 2: Ugly looking card.

hardware19.jpg

VGA card no 4: VLB bus, unfortunately not expanded with memory.

hardware18.jpg

VGA card no 5: Another VLB bus antique.
