and let no obscure hardware erratum
stand between us and Workbench.

Soften the hearts of the keepers of AmigaOS 4.
Move Hyperion, A-EON, the owners of ExecSG,
the driver writers, the kernel hackers,
and whoever else must sign whatever mysterious agreement
has prevented sensible things from happening for the last twenty years.

Grant unto Mirari:

a working ExecSG boot,
proper memory management,
PCI support without suffering,
networking without ancient chipsets,
sound without ritual sacrifice,
graphics acceleration worthy of the name,
and USB that simply works.

May the first boot not stop at a black screen.

May serial debug reveal something useful.

May the developer who says
“this should be quite straightforward”
actually be correct.

Protect us from abandoned repositories,
half-finished ports,
forum announcements followed by seven years of silence,
and hardware that exists only as a prototype photographed at an Amiga show.

Let AmigaOS 4 run natively on Mirari,
not through emulation,
not through an experimental compatibility layer,
not at three frames per second,
but gloriously, pointlessly, beautifully native.

And when Workbench finally appears,
let there be no immediate argument
about whether the machine is a real Amiga.
