The Indivision AGA scandoubler/Flicker fixer from Individual Computers was sort of a big deal ”back in the day”. It supported full AGA modes, fit neatly inside the Amiga 1200 and finally let you connect your Amiga 1200 to a regular VGA screen relatively affordably. I was so impressed that I got a second one for my A4000 that I had back then.
It sat neatly on top of Lisa, and very secure it sat on it. There are now never revisions of the Indivision AGA scandoubler/FliFli but one thing all revisions share is a configuration program that I suspect few users actually took their time to dive into. Few people want to be rocket scientists too (I suspect).
The picture quality was awesome I think. What a relief it was to not have to keep a CRT around back in 2006.
One added bonus was the HighGFX monitor driver that let you set the resolution in Workbench to 1024×768, connected to a VGA screen you had a great alternative for a RTG card thanks to the Indivision. Sure you would not want to run that resolution with 256 colors (even with an 060), but in 8-16 colors it is actually a great substitute for a graphics card.
Those where the days!
