This was an internal IDE interface for the Amiga 500. I bought it from someone in Finland who IIRC built these.
These days DIY hardware projects are very common thanks to being able to order PCBs cheap over the Internet. But back in the early 2000s it was not really that common. While I have forgotten the details about this card, I remember that it was very cheap. I always like the internal expansions the company ICD made for the Amiga 500, they also had an internal IDE interface. However this one had one big problem….
While the IDE interface worked in a stock Amiga 500. It did not work in an Amiga 500 with a turbo card, like the Neurath 020 expanded A500 on the picture above.
And it was not just a plug and play solution there was a cable (or two) that had to be soldered to the edge slot.
If it worked with turbo cards I would have kept it, but to be honest these days there are much better options if you want IDE in your Amiga 500 such as cheap 030 accelerators with IDE integrated!
